The 640385-4 is a 4-circuit, single-row, unshrouded header from TE's MTA-156 series. It mates with MTA-156 receptacle housings and IDC or crimp-socket contacts for a board-to-cable/wire connection.
Pitch, circuit count, and board layout fit
At 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch, the 4-position header occupies about 0.624" (15.84mm) of board edge. The right-angle orientation means the pins extend 0.390" (9.91mm) from the housing face and the solder tails are 0.125" (3.18mm) long — this sets the through-hole drill depth and the clearance under the header body.
For higher cycle counts, consider a gold-plated variant in the MTA-156 family. The square pin shape provides a reliable gas-tight joint when soldered.
