Right-angle header for board-edge wire exits
For a header that gets mated a few times during manufacturing and then stays connected, tin is fine. If the application cycles the connector quarterly in a field-service role, the contact finish will wear faster than a gold-plated alternative.
Mating and housing fit
This unshrouded header mates with MTA-100 IDC receptacles and other 0.100" pitch female housings that accept 0.025" square pins. The 0.140" (3.56 mm) solder post suits a typical 1.6 mm thick PCB — the post protrudes enough for a reliable through-hole solder fillet.
