Single-row 9-position MTA-100 header with friction lock
The 640456-9 is a TE Connectivity AMP MTA-100 series board-to-cable/wire header, 9 positions in a single row on 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. It is a vertical through-hole solder termination, shrouded on one wall, with a friction lock that holds the mating housing in place under vibration. Mating contact finish is tin, same as the post finish — this is a standard-duty signal interconnect rated for 250VAC.
At 9 positions on 0.100" pitch, the header spans 0.900" (22.86mm) across the row. The contact length - mating is 0.295" (7.49mm) and the overall contact length is 0.535" (13.59mm), which sets the board-to-housing standoff.
