Pitch, Positions, and What 6 Loaded Means
The 7-position housing with 6 loaded pins is a common variant: the empty position can serve as a polarization key or simply reduce pin count without changing the PCB layout. Compared to the fully populated 7-position version (base number 643464-1), the 643464-2 saves one circuit while keeping the same housing and footprint — useful when the BOM calls for 6 signal wires in a 7-position connector.
Mates with MTA-156 receptacle housings that accept 0.156" pitch crimp or IDC terminals.
