Product details

MTA-156 header with a single-wall shroud and friction lock

The 644699-2 is a 7-position (6 loaded) single-row header from TE's MTA-156 series, pitched at 0.156" (3.96 mm).

This header is the board-mount half of a wire-to-board connection. It mates with MTA-156 receptacle housings that accept the wire gauges listed in the receptacle datasheet. The tin-plated male pins mate with tin-plated female contacts in the receptacle. Tin-on-tin is cost-effective for production harnesses that don't require frequent field reconnects.

How this compares to similar TE headers

Key difference: the CT header uses 2.00 mm pitch and 11 positions, while the MTA-156 uses 3.96 mm pitch and 7 positions. The wider pitch of the MTA-156 allows larger wire gauges and higher voltage (600VAC vs 125VAC).
