The 0.250" (6.35 mm) pitch leaves generous board space per circuit, simplifying routing for power traces and allowing use with heavier wire gauges in the mating terminal. The insulation height of 0.580" (14.73 mm) and contact post length of 0.155" (3.94 mm) define the header's standoff above the PCB, which must be accounted for in enclosure clearance.
