At 0.145" (3.68mm) pitch and row spacing, it accepts either male or female crimp contacts — a flexibility that lets the same shell serve as either half of a mated pair, simplifying harness inventory.
Sizing the Wire and Terminal
The housing is a shell only — contacts are ordered separately. The Commercial.062" series uses standard 0.062" diameter pin and socket crimp terminals (typically 20–24 AWG stranded wire). The 3.68mm pitch and row spacing give enough room for hand-wiring and larger wire gauges without crowding the cavity walls.
Mates with the matching receptacle housing from the same Commercial.062" series — the detent lock engages with a positive click. Because the plug accepts male or female contacts, the same housing can be wired as either the pin or socket half, provided the mating receptacle is loaded with the opposite contact gender.
