12-position plug housing — what it is and what it needs
The TE 770581-1 is a 12-circuit plug housing from the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK series, a workhorse line for wire-to-wire and wire-to-board power interconnects in automotive, industrial, and appliance harnesses. It's a free-hanging (in-line) plug with a 4.14mm pitch and two rows, designed to accept either male or female crimp terminals — you load the contacts, then mate it to the matching receptacle housing.
Crimp termination means no soldering; just strip, crimp, and insert until the terminal locks in place.
Mating half and harness fit
For a complete wire-to-wire connection, you'll need one 770581-1 plug housing, one receptacle housing, and 12 crimp terminals (pin or socket, depending on which side is which). The 0.163" row spacing means the two rows of contacts sit on the same pitch as the row-to-row distance, keeping the connector compact.
