Contacts Not Included — Order Separately
The housing ships empty. The crimp terminals for the.093" diameter pin and socket contacts must be ordered as a separate line item — the spec note is explicit. Confirm the wire gauge range and plating grade (tin vs gold) of the mating contact before committing the BOM. The 770843-1 accepts both male and female contacts, so the same housing can serve as either a plug or receptacle half depending on which terminal is loaded.
Locking Ramp and Free-Hanging Mount
This is a field-service-friendly feature: no tools needed to mate or unmate, and the ramp holds the pair together under cable strain and machine vibration. The free-hanging (in-line) mount means the housing is designed for wire-to-wire or wire-to-panel applications, not PCB mounting. Two rows of contacts with 0.198" (5.03 mm) row spacing give enough room for a 20-14 AWG terminal without crowding.
