0.156" Pitch, 6-Position SL-156 Receptacle Housing
The locking ramp is the fastening mechanism — it clicks over the header's ramp and holds the pair mated without a separate screw or clip. In a harness that sees engine vibration or machine cycling, that ramp keeps the connection closed when a friction-fit housing would walk loose. The polarizing key is a rib on the housing interior that only aligns with the matching slot on the SL-156 header. If you have three different 6-position connectors on the same harness, the keying guarantees the right housing goes to the right header every time — no pin damage from a forced mate.
This housing ships as an empty shell — no crimp terminals are included. You need the matching SL-156 female socket contacts (TE part numbers 770850-1 for tin, 770850-2 for gold) to populate the 6 positions.
The part is quoted to order.
