Sealed and locked for harsh environments
The sealed construction (board guide and sealed features) means this header is designed to keep contaminants out when mated with the matching AMPSEAL receptacle. The locking ramp is a vibration-proof latch — it clicks into place and won't back out under the engine vibration or industrial machine shake that would rattle a friction-lock connector loose.
