14-Position Shrouded Header for Board-to-Wire
The 794067-2 is a 14-circuit, 2-row vertical header from the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK series, on a 4.14mm pitch. It mates with the matching Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK receptacle housing (sold separately) to form a board-to-wire connection. The header is fully shrouded on all four walls, protecting the male pins during handling and preventing misalignment during mating. A locking ramp on the housing provides positive retention — the latch clicks when fully seated and resists vibration loosening.
Board Lock and Solder Termination
Two board locks on the through-hole tails anchor the header to the PCB before wave soldering. This holds the part in place during reflow and adds mechanical resistance to shear forces from the cable assembly. The contact finish is gold on the mating surface (30.0µin) and tin-lead on the solder post (150.0µin). Gold on the mating interface supports repeated mating cycles without fretting corrosion; the tin-lead post wets well in a leaded solder process.
