9-Position, 3-Row Plug Housing on a 4.14 mm Grid
The TE 794194-1 is a 9-position plug housing from the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK II series, arranged in three rows on a 0.163" (4.14 mm) pitch with the same 0.163" (4.14 mm) row spacing. This square grid gives you a compact, symmetrical footprint for wire-to-wire interconnects in harness assemblies where space is tight but you still need a positive latch lock to keep the pair mated under vibration. The natural polyamide (nylon) housing is free-hanging (in-line) and accepts either male or female crimp contacts — the same housing can serve as the plug on both sides of a connection, which simplifies inventory if you standardise on one shell for a given circuit count.
The housing accepts either gender, so pick the terminal that matches your harness side. This is the most common sourcing misstep on this part: the housing arrives, the build stops because the terminals aren't on the same BOM line.
