Product details

12-Position 3-Row Receptacle Housing for Universal MATE-N-LOK

The TE Connectivity 794716-1 is a 12-position receptacle housing in the Universal MATE-N-LOK series, arranged in 3 rows with a 0.250" (6.35mm) row spacing. It accepts either male or female crimp contacts (sold separately — contacts are not included), terminated via standard crimp tooling.

Panel Mount with Twist-and-Lock and Locking Ramp

Mounting is via a panel-mount, twist-and-lock mechanism — the housing rotates into a D-shaped or keyed panel cutout and locks with a quarter-turn.

You must order the matching crimp contacts separately — TE offers both male and female pins in tin or gold plating, sized for 14-20 AWG wire. No special tooling beyond a standard crimp tool and insertion/extraction tool is required.

Frequently asked questions

How is 794716-1 mounted and is it polarized?

The housing mounts to a panel using a twist-and-lock mechanism — rotate it into the cutout and lock with a quarter-turn. It is polarized (keyed) to prevent mis-mating with the corresponding plug, and the locking ramp provides vibration-resistant retention.
