The 796642-5: It carries a UL current rating of 15 A per contact and a voltage rating of 300 V. In a panel where the header is mounted on a PCB and the mating plug is field-wired, the shroud reduces the chance of bent pins from misalignment. Contact mating finish is tin. For applications requiring frequent connect/disconnect or exposure to corrosive atmospheres, a gold-plated variant would be specified instead.
Through-hole mounting with solder termination. The contact tail length is 0.138" (3.50mm) — this sets the PCB hole depth and the solder fillet profile. Insulation height is 0.472" (12.00mm) — this is the height of the shroud above the PCB surface. In a tight enclosure, verify the z-height budget against the mating plug plus wire bend radius.
