Board footprint and circuit count
The 2-position count is the minimum in the series, often used for jumper or sense-line connections where only two circuits are needed. The tin post (98.4 µinch) solders reliably into a plated through-hole.
Comparing to a shrouded alternative
That part adds mounting brackets and a locking mechanism for vibration resistance, but its 2.20 mm pitch is tighter and its tin mating finish does not match the gold flash of 825433-2. For a 2-position unshrouded vertical header, 825433-2 is the simpler, lower-cost choice.
