ZIF FPC connector, 4 circuits, 1.00 mm pitch
The 84953-4 is a 4-position member of TE Connectivity's AMP Connectors FPC line, using a zero-insertion-force (ZIF) slide lock to secure the FPC tail. Contacts are tin-plated phosphor bronze, rated 1 A per circuit at 200 V, with a top-contact configuration that accepts 0.30 mm thick FPC.
Slide lock and board fit
The slide-lock actuator holds the FPC in place without insertion force — the contact wipes the pad on closure. Solder retention features on the SMT right-angle package keep the connector seated during reflow. Mated height above the board is 0.101" (2.56 mm), which fits tight z-axis budgets in portable or panel-mount assemblies.
