8-Position Receptacle Housing for Crimp-Terminated Wire Harnesses
It mates with any 0.100" pitch, dual-row, square-pin header of the same position count.
It matches the pin spacing on a dual-row header — the 8 positions in 2 rows means 4 positions per row. For the harness builder, this housing accepts crimp terminals that are applied to discrete wires, then inserted into the rear of the housing. The pitch has to match the mating header's pin spacing; at 2.54mm, that's a common footprint for board-to-wire connections in control panels, test equipment, and telecom gear.
Contacts Not Included — Order the Crimp Socket Separately
The female crimp sockets are a separate line item — typically the AMPMODU Mod IV socket contact, which is ordered by its own part number. For a production run, make sure the BOM lists both the housing and the contacts. A full mate requires the matching header (dual-row, 0.100" pitch, 8 positions) and the crimp contacts.
