Active 16-position breakaway – board-edge or stacking
Tin is the cost-effective choice for moderate cycle counts (50–100 mates) in clean, indoor environments. Right-angle through-hole termination means the pins sit perpendicular to the board. The 0.090" post length is standard for 1.6 mm boards with a solder wave.
No shroud means the pins are exposed. This lets you use the header as a breakaway strip for custom lengths, and gives probe access for test or programming jigs. For production harnesses, pair this with a polarized receptacle housing or add a visual alignment mark on the PCB silkscreen.

The closest peer in the same 0.100" pitch family is 1379030-3 – a 12-position, shrouded (4-wall) header with a friction lock and board lock. It targets wire-to-board applications where the cable connector needs positive retention. The 9-103795-0-08 is unshrouded, breakable, and suited for board-to-board or open-cable mating where the locking is handled by the mating half or by the enclosure. If your BOM requires a latch and the circuit count is 12, 1379030-3 is the direct swap; for 16 positions and breakaway flexibility, stay with this part.
