58-Position Dual-Row Breakaway — Footprint and Fit
The 0.100" pitch and square pins (0.025" square typical for the series) mate with standard 0.100" IDC receptacles and crimp housings.
Rated 3 A per contact. At 58 circuits that is 174 A total across the header if evenly distributed — but the practical limit is set by the number of adjacent pins carrying current simultaneously. The LCP housing (UL94 V-0) handles the temperature rise without softening. Mating and post contacts both carry 100 µinch tin plating. Tin is a work-hardening finish — it suits moderate mating cycles (50-100 cycles typical for tin) and environments without corrosive gases. For higher cycle life or harsh chemical exposure, a gold-plated sibling in the AMPMODU Mod II family would be the alternative. The LCP material maintains dimensional stability across this range.
Through-hole solder termination — the 0.090" (2.29 mm) post length suits standard 0.062" (1.6 mm) PCBs with room for the solder fillet. The header has no board locks or retention clips — it relies on the solder joints for mechanical retention. In high-vibration environments, consider a mating connector with a latch or add a glue dot.
