What the 100 µinch Tin Finish Means for Your Application
This thickness provides good corrosion resistance and maintains solderability over extended storage. However, tin-plated contacts are rated for fewer mating cycles than gold — expect 50–100 cycles before the tin oxide layer increases contact resistance. The post finish is also 100 µinch tin, which wets well in lead-free wave solder processes. The through-hole termination length of 0.090" (2.29mm) is compatible with standard 1.6mm thick PCBs.
