Board-to-cable header with a latch
The 917782-1 is a 4-position, single-row, vertical through-hole header from TE's Signal Double Lock series. It mates with a cable-side receptacle to form a board-to-cable/wire interconnect, with a shrouded 4-wall housing that protects the male pins during handling and mis-mate events. Tin is suitable for applications with limited mating cycles (typically under 50 cycles) and non-corrosive environments.
Mating and termination details
Mates with a Signal Double Lock receptacle housing (sold separately) that accepts the matching crimp terminals. The latch holder on the header engages with the receptacle's locking ramp to secure the pair. The through-hole pins are kinked for retention during soldering — the kinked profile holds the header in place on the board before wave or hand solder. The mated stack height is 13.7 mm, which gives the board designer a fixed z-height budget when positioning the header relative to other components.
