Board-to-Wire Header with Latch Holder
The 917894-1: This is a step up from a friction-only header in environments where the cable sees movement or shock. The tin-plated mating finish is rated for indoor, non-corrosive environments.
Through-Hole Termination and Board Guide
Termination is through-hole with a kinked pin solder tail — the kink provides a press-fit retention force during wave soldering, holding the header in place before the solder solidifies. A built-in board guide on the housing aligns the header during placement, preventing skew that could misalign the mating receptacle. This is a practical feature for automated pick-and-place assembly.
Mated Stack Height and Clearance
When mated with the corresponding Signal Double Lock receptacle, the overall stack height is 13.7 mm. The insulation height of 0.386" (9.80 mm) means the header body stands well above the PCB surface, so plan for clearance above the board in the enclosure design.
The part is ROHS3 compliant.
