2-Position Junior Power Timer Receptacle — Locking Ramp and TPA for Vibration Duty
The 0.177" (4.50mm) pitch gives enough spacing for 20-24 AWG crimp terminals without crowding the housing. The locking ramp fastening provides the primary retention — it clicks home and stays there under vibration, unlike a simple detent. A Terminal Position Lock (TPA) adds a secondary lock that confirms each female socket terminal is fully seated before the harness ships; without it, a partially inserted terminal can back out and open the circuit.
The female socket contacts are crimp-terminated — no soldering, no PCB footprint. The TPA slides into the housing after the terminals are loaded, locking each contact in its cavity. A splice is a fault waiting to happen if the secondary lock is left out — always install the TPA.
