The 966140-3: This is a 12-position, 3-row header from the MCP series, on 5.00 mm pitch with a 5.51 mm row spacing. The 4-wall shroud and latch holder keep the mating receptacle aligned and locked under vibration — a standard requirement for the automotive engine bay and general-purpose industrial panels this connector is rated for.
Termination and contact details
Tin-plated rectangular tab contacts on a copper alloy base. Solder termination, 0.118" (3.00 mm) post length. The mounting flange adds mechanical retention to the through-hole solder joints, taking some of the cable strain off the pins.
