32-position dual-row header with board lock and latch holder
The latch holder provides a positive mechanical lock against the mating housing — in an automotive environment where vibration is constant, this prevents the pair from backing apart. The header is rated for 12V circuits, which aligns with automotive battery-level and signal lines. Operating temperature from -40°C to 110°C covers underhood and interior thermal profiles without derating.
Tin plating and contact finish
Tin is a cost-effective choice for moderate mating-cycle applications — in a field-service connector cycled a few times per year, the 78.7 µinch layer provides acceptable wear resistance. The contact base metal is brass, a standard choice for pin headers that balances conductivity and spring properties. The square pin shape (0.025-inch square typical for this series) mates with standard AMPMODU receptacle contacts.
The insulation height of 0.795 inches (20.20mm) gives clearance for the latch holder and shroud.
