Surface-Mount Assembly and Pick-and-Place Ready
Termination is solder via surface mount, and the header includes pick-and-place features for automated assembly — the flat top surface and symmetrical body let the vacuum nozzle handle it without tilt. The glass-filled PCT insulator (UL94 V-0 rated) withstands reflow temperatures up to 260°C peak. The 6-position, 2-row layout keeps the board footprint under 8 mm wide, which helps when routing traces between the pads on a dense board. No board locks are present — the solder joints alone carry the shear load from the mating cable, so the mating half should be strain-relieved off-board.
