The Amphenol FCI 55917-500LF is an 8-contact, single-port USB-A (USB TYPE-A) and power combo receptacle from the 55917 series. It integrates standard USB 2.0 signal contacts with additional power contacts in a single shielded shell, reducing the connector count on a board edge or panel opening.

3 A per Contact, 1500 Mating Cycles — Gold GXT™ Plating

Each contact is rated 3 A at 12 V, with the current capacity shared across the USB signal pins and the dedicated power contacts.

USB 2.0 Only — Not USB 3.0 Compatible

Despite the physical USB Type-A receptacle shape, the contact arrangement and signal integrity are not designed for USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (5 Gbps) operation. If the application requires USB 3.0 data rates, a different connector with additional high-speed differential pairs is needed.
