Keying and Housing Features
The header includes a keying slot — a polarisation feature that prevents mis-mating with an incorrectly keyed receptacle. In a low-vibration environment this is sufficient, but for applications with continuous shock or cable strain, a locking header variant would be preferred. The insulation height of 0.377" (9.57mm) and mating pin length of 0.236" (6.00mm) set the z-height budget for the mated assembly.
