50 Ohm Impedance and 12.4 GHz Bandwidth
The 50 Ohm characteristic impedance matches the standard for most RF test and communications systems, so the connector introduces no impedance step that would reflect signal energy. The 12.4 GHz upper frequency limit covers L-band, S-band, and most of C-band — enough for cellular backhaul, Wi-Fi, and many radar applications. Above that frequency, the SMA interface geometry begins to support higher-order modes, so the 12.4 GHz rating is a practical ceiling for single-mode operation.
