That gold thickness puts this header in the moderate-cycle-life bracket — suited for field-serviceable boards or environments where corrosion resistance matters, not a single-mate-and-solder application. The phosphor bronze contact spring holds its normal force through repeated insertions. Push-pull fastening with no latch means the mating receptacle is held by friction alone — fine for internal harnesses where vibration is controlled, but not for free-hanging cable assemblies that see constant tugging.
