SMP-MSLD-PCT-10: 26.5 GHz SMP Receptacle with Limited Detent
It uses a limited detent retention mechanism — lower insertion and extraction force than a full-detent SMP, which makes it a practical choice for blind-mate panel interfaces or dense board stacks where you don't want the extraction force pulling the board. The body is gold-plated brass, the dielectric is PEEK rather than the more common PTFE, giving it a higher continuous-use temperature ceiling and lower dielectric loss at the upper end of the band.
What the Limited Detent Means for Your Assembly
The limited detent feature means the snap-on retention is lighter than a full-detent SMP. This reduces the force needed to engage and disengage the connector — useful when the receptacle is mounted on a floating subassembly or in a multi-port panel where cumulative extraction force adds up. The trade-off is lower axial retention under vibration compared to a full-detent or smooth-bore SMP; if the cable is going to see constant flex or high-G shock, a full-detent variant or a secondary locking mechanism is worth considering. For bench test, rack-mount, or low-vibration environments, the limited detent is the easier-mating option.
