Tin-plated contacts and a natural (unpigmented) housing make it a straight utility connector for internal wire-to-board harnesses where the assembly won't see moisture or repeated unplugging.
Wiring and Termination — IDC on 30 AWG Discrete
The cable termination is IDC, not crimp — the wire is pressed into insulation-displacement slots inside the receptacle body. That means no separate terminal to buy and stuff, but the wire gauge is locked to 30 AWG discrete wire. The 02ZR-8M-P variant takes 28 AWG instead, so if your harness uses a heavier gauge, that's the swap. No stripping, no crimping tool — just a press tool to seat the wire into the IDC slot.
Mating Half and Series Position
The natural housing and closed-end feature mean the header pins insert into a fully shrouded cavity — no exposed contacts on the receptacle side. The 2-position variant is the smallest in the ZR IDC family; the 03ZR-3H-P and 04ZR-3H-P add positions at the same 1.50 mm pitch for higher circuit counts.
