The JST 06XAF-2S is a 6-position, single-row IDC socket housing from the XAF series. It terminates discrete 22 AWG wire with an insulation-displacement connection — no crimp tool needed, just a simple press. The natural nylon housing carries tin-plated female sockets, rated for the signal-level current typical of these applications.

This housing accepts 22 AWG discrete wire only — no ribbon cable. The IDC termination punches through the insulation and makes contact with the tin-plated female socket in one operation. The closed-end design means the back of the housing is sealed, so wire strands can't poke through and short against adjacent circuits.
