JST SUR 10SUR-32S — 10-Position IDC Receptacle for 32 AWG Discrete Wire
Unlike most IDC connectors that terminate ribbon cable, the 10SUR-32S is designed for discrete 32 AWG wire. The IDC slot geometry is matched to that gauge — using a larger wire risks insulation damage or incomplete pierce, while a smaller wire may not make reliable contact. The tin-plated female socket contacts provide adequate conductivity for signal-level circuits, though the tin finish limits the connector to a lower mating-cycle life than gold-plated alternatives. For harness assembly, a dedicated IDC hand tool or press is required; the closed-end feature means each receptacle terminates one wire run, so plan one connector per circuit endpoint.
There is no end-of-life notice or last-time-buy trigger. No direct stock-holding claim is made; the supply channel is quoted per request.
The 10-position count must match the header position count exactly — the closed-end design does not allow overhang or partial population.
