The JST 10ZR-8M-P is a 10-position, single-row IDC receptacle from the ZR series, pitched at 0.059" (1.50 mm). It terminates discrete 28 AWG wire with an insulation displacement contact — no crimp tool needed, just a press. The closed-end design means the wire stops at the last position; there's no pass-through for daisy-chaining. Tin-plated female sockets in a free-hanging (in-line) housing, green in colour. Sizing the wire and the footprint
The 1.50 mm pitch keeps the board footprint tight — about 13.5 mm across the 10 positions — but the real constraint is the wire gauge. This connector is specified for 28 AWG only. If you're trying to stuff 30 AWG into the IDC slot, the insulation won't displace properly and the contact won't bite. Stick with the listed gauge. The closed-end feature means the IDC slot at position 10 is a dead end — the wire stops there. That matters if you're used to pass-through connectors that let you loop the same wire to the next connector. Here, each wire terminates at its position and that's it.
The 11ZR-8M-P is the same connector with one more position — 11 circuits instead of 10. Same 1.50 mm pitch, same 28 AWG IDC termination, same tin finish, same closed-end housing. If your BOM calls for 10 circuits, this is the one; if you need 11, step up to the 11ZR-8M-P. No other functional difference.
