13-Position IDC Socket for 2.00 mm Ribbon
The 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch matches standard 2.00 mm ribbon cable — the pitch has to match the ribbon, or the IDC slots will bite between conductors instead of onto them. This is a free-hanging, right-angle exit connector, natural colour, in bulk packaging.
Termination and Wire Fit
IDC termination is a mass-termination process — the connector is pressed onto the wire using a fixture, displacing the insulation to make contact with the conductor. The specified wire gauge is 26 AWG discrete; using a different gauge risks poor contact or conductor damage.
