JST B06P-VL — 6-Position Power Header in the VL Series
It carries a 20 A per-circuit rating at 600 V, placing it firmly in power-distribution duty — every amp makes heat, and at 20 A per pin the current density through the 6.20 mm pitch keeps the temperature rise manageable in a ventilated enclosure. The 0.326" (8.28 mm) row spacing gives enough creepage for the 600 V rating without forcing an oversized board footprint.
20 A per circuit is the headline rating, but that figure assumes a single circuit fully loaded in free air at 25 °C. In a real cabinet with multiple circuits carrying current and ambient temperatures above 25 °C, derate accordingly — the UL94 V-0 nylon 6/6 housing is rated for continuous operation from -25°C to 90°C, and the temperature rise from the current is what limits the real-world ampacity. The 600 V rating is a creepage-and-clearance limit, not a continuous operating voltage — it confirms the header is sized for power distribution, not low-voltage signal. Contact finish is tin on both the mating side and the solder post.
The B06P-VL mates with the JST VL series receptacle housing. The header is through-hole solder only — no press-fit option.
