The B4PS-VH: The 10A per-circuit rating at 250V means each pin carries enough current for a power tap or a moderate load in an appliance or industrial control panel — not a signal line. The tin-on-tin contact finish (mating and post side) is adequate for a limited number of mating cycles in a permanent or semi-permanent install; if the application calls for frequent disconnect-reconnect cycles, a gold-plated sibling in the VH family would be the better choice. The locking ramp fastening type provides a positive mechanical latch that resists vibration and cable pull — the ramp clicks into the mating receptacle housing and holds until the latch is manually released.
Where it is used
This header is used in wire-to-board power interconnects inside appliances, HVAC equipment, vending machines, and industrial control cabinets — anywhere a 4-circuit power or signal harness needs a locked connection to a PCB. The -25°C to 85°C operating range covers indoor and sheltered outdoor enclosures but not engine compartments or washdown zones. The UL94 V-0 PA66 housing meets the flame-rating requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
