2-Position VH Receptacle Housing, 3.96mm Pitch
The JST VHR-2M is a 2-position receptacle housing from the VH series, designed as the female half of a wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnect system. The housing is molded from natural polyamide (PA6) nylon 6 and features a latch lock fastening type for positive retention once mated with the corresponding header. This is a free-hanging (in-line) housing that accepts female socket crimp terminals — the contacts are not included and must be ordered separately. The single-row, 2-position layout mates with JST VH series pin headers of the same pitch and circuit count, commonly used in power supply, appliance, and industrial control harnesses where a secure, vibration-resistant connection is needed.
Termination and Housing Notes
Crimp termination — the housing accepts JST VH series female socket contacts (sold separately). The latch lock provides audible and tactile feedback when fully mated, reducing the risk of partial engagement in harness assembly. The electric shock prevention feature refers to the housing's shroud design that covers the mating interface. Operating temperature range is -25°C to 85°C, suitable for indoor equipment and general-purpose industrial use. The PA6 nylon housing offers good mechanical strength and chemical resistance for these environments.
