The 1408333-7: This is a field-installable kit: one connector shell, one gold-plated brass centre pin, and one crimp ferrule. The centre contact is solder-terminated to the signal wire; the shield is crimped through the ferrule over the cable braid. The cable group covers RG-58, RG-141, and RG-303 — the three most common 50 Ohm flexible coax types for short-run RF interconnects.
If the BOM can accept a parametric alternative, a cross-reference search against the QMA interface standard (IEC 60169-28) may yield a currently-manufactured option from another supplier.
Snap-On vs Threaded — Mating and Mechanical Notes
The snap-on fastening mates with any standard QMA jack (female) — the push-and-click engagement is faster than an SMA thread but still provides a secure 50 Ohm interface. The shield termination is crimp-only, so the cable braid is captured mechanically before the centre pin is soldered — a clean, repeatable termination for production harness builds.
