QMA Snap-On for RG-402 Semi-Rigid
The 1408346-1: It delivers a 50 Ohm impedance path rated to 6 GHz with a specified insertion loss of 0.25 dB — a clean signal path for the band. The snap-on fastening gives a quick mate without the torque tooling a threaded SMA requires, though the 100 mating cycles mean it is not a daily-disconnect port. The gold-plated brass body and gold centre contact resist corrosion in the RF path, and the PTFE dielectric holds the impedance steady across the -40°C to 80°C operating range.
Cable Assembly Fit
This plug comes as two pieces — the connector body and one contact — both requiring solder termination for the shield and centre pin. It is built for RG-402 (.141" semi-rigid) cable; the cable group is specified, so the centre conductor and dielectric diameters are a known fit. For a build-to-print cable assembly, the BOM needs the 1408346-1 plus the specified RG-402 cable; no separate backshell or ferrule is included in this kit.
