The 0.374" (9.50mm) pitch gives enough terminal spacing to handle the 20A per circuit rating without crowding adjacent wires, and the dual-wall (2 Wall) barrier physically isolates each terminal from its neighbour — a detail that matters when you are running 12 AWG at full current and don't want a stray strand bridging to the next circuit. The closed bottom termination means the screw terminals are the only wire entry point; the strip terminates the wires on the top side and the circuit runs internally to the next barrier, which is the standard arrangement for a feed-through or junction-point barrier block in an industrial panel.
For a control cabinet distribution block running 12 AWG, that covers most motor starter and solenoid circuits without derating.
