Board-fit and signal routing
The 1734248-4 is a 4-position FPC connector on a 1.00mm pitch, vertical SMD orientation. The 0.217" (5.50mm) height above board leaves room for component clearance under the cable bend radius — useful when routing the FPC tight to the PCB in a compact enclosure. Rated 1A per contact at 125V, with gold flash over phosphor bronze contacts. The gold flash handles occasional reconnects — the 20-cycle mating rating means this is a set-and-forget interconnect, not a frequent disconnect point. For signal-level circuits the current ceiling is not a limiting factor.
ZIF actuation and cable prep
Zero insertion force with a slide lock actuator. The FPC inserts freely with the lock open, then the slide pushes the contact beams onto the pads — no insertion force on the cable, no risk of tearing the flex traces.
