8-position single-row right-angle header for board-to-cable runs
The 1744426-8 is an 8-position, single-row header from TE's Economy Power 2.5 series, designed for board-to-cable/wire connections where the cable exits parallel to the PCB.
Termination is kinked pin, solder — the kink in the contact post (0.126" / 3.20 mm length) provides mechanical retention in the plated through-hole before wave solder, preventing float during the process. The mating contact length is 0.141" (3.60 mm), ensuring full wipe on the receptacle contact beam.
This header mates with the Economy Power 2.5 receptacle housings (e.g., 174441 series) using the matching crimp terminals. The 2.50 mm pitch is consistent across the series, so any single-row 8-position receptacle with the same keying will fit.
