Board-to-wire header with friction lock and board lock
The 1744426-9: This is a 9-position, single-row header from the Economy Power 2.5 series, designed for board-to-wire connections. The 2.50mm pitch and right-angle orientation keep the wire exit parallel to the PCB, useful in low-profile enclosures. The shrouded 4-wall housing protects the male pins during handling and mating, and the integral friction lock holds the mating receptacle without a separate latch clip. A board lock on the through-hole tails anchors the header during wave solder and resists shear loads from the cable assembly.
Rated for 4.2A per contact at 250VAC
Each tin-plated contact is rated 4.2A at 250VAC. Tin plating is suitable for moderate mating cycles (typically 25–50) in indoor, dry environments. The nylon housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, and the operating temperature range covers -55°C to 105°C.
Mating and termination checklist
Mates with Economy Power 2.5 receptacle housings that accept 20–24 AWG crimp terminals. The friction lock engages with the matching ramp on the receptacle. Termination is kinked pin, solder — the kink holds the pin in the PCB hole during wave solder, and the 3.20mm post length suits standard board thicknesses.
