What Mates and What Terminates
This is the receptacle half — it mates with a 3-position CT series header (through-hole or SMT, depending on the board-side part). The free-hanging (in-line) mount means it sits on a wire harness, not soldered to a PCB. No special tool beyond a standard crimp frame and anvil set for the contact size.
