Unshielded — When That's Fine and When It's Not
This receptacle is unshielded, meaning there's no metal shell around the USB port to shunt EMI to ground. In a metal enclosure where the chassis itself provides the shielding, an unshielded connector is fine — the enclosure handles the EMC. In a plastic-enclosed product or one with long unshielded USB cable runs, you'd want the shielded variant like the 87520-3112ALF instead. The trade-off is cost and footprint: the shielded version has a metal shell that adds a few millimetres to the keep-out zone on the PCB.
