20 GHz SMA Plug for Cable Assemblies
The shield termination is crimp, and the contact termination is solder — a standard combination that gives a reliable electrical bond at the pin and mechanical grip at the braid. This plug is specified for cable group RTK 044. That designation tells you which coax cable diameter and dielectric type the crimp ferrule and center contact are sized for. Using a different cable group risks an impedance mismatch at the connector-to-cable interface and a loose or over-crimped shield termination.
This SMA plug mates with any standard SMA female jack (receptacle) that has a threaded coupling nut — the fastening type is threaded, per the SMA interface standard. The free-hanging, right-angle body means it terminates a cable and mates to a panel- or PCB-mounted jack. The 500 mating cycle rating means the gold-on-brass contact interface will hold its contact resistance and VSWR through repeated connect-disconnect cycles in test or field-service applications.
