This plug accepts RG-405 (.085" semi-rigid) cable only — the cable group is specified at the part level, not a range. Both the shield and center contact terminate by solder, so the build requires a controlled soldering process to avoid wicking into the PTFE dielectric. The shield termination is soldered, not crimped, which gives a lower and more consistent DC path but demands a skilled hand on the assembly line.
Materials and Environment
The body is stainless steel with a passivated finish, and the coupling nut carries gold plating — a combination that resists corrosion in lab, outdoor, or marine-adjacent environments without adding galvanic risk.
